There are few days left to apply for the Baltic Sea Forum for Documentaries 2014 that will take place in Riga, Latvia, from September 3 to 7.
You are welcome to submit your documentary projects with significant international potential as well as animated documentary and cross media projects until June 6.

There is no participation fee or a submission fee !!!


Beeing a meeting place for professionals from Eastern and Western Europe, forum invites independent production companies from the wider Baltic Sea Region countries (Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden) and developing democracies of the former Soviet Union to submit their documentary or cross-media projects. Producers from other European countries if the documentary subject relates to the wider Baltic Sea Region are also welcome.

We are looking forward to receive the projects both from experienced professionals as well as first time directors/producers.

To remind about the structure of the BSF - preparation workshop will be organized before the pitching session – from September 3 to 5, special attention is paid also to editing trailers. Tutors team: Mikael Opstrup (EDN, Denmark), Tue Steen Müller (documentary film expert, Denmark), Emma Davie (film director, Scotland), Hanka Kastelicová (HBO Europe, Hungary), Ivana Pauerová Miloševičová (Film Centre, Czech TV, Czech Republic), Thierry Detaille (Ventes-CBAWIP-Sales, Belgium)

Pitching session will take place on September 6 and 7. Project presentations to the panel of decision makers (both sales agents and broadcasters) will be followed by individual meetings. Screenings of the documentary films will also be organized for the general public.

Arround 24 projects will be participating at the forum, we will infom you about the selection results by the 11th of July.

Baltic Sea Forum is organised by the National Film Centre of Latvia, Creative Europe/Media Office Latvia in close collaboration with European Documentary Network.
